Welcome to your Student Induction Moodle site. Here at UCC, we want to help you navigate these first few days, weeks and semester as smoothly as possibly. We have created this Moodle page where all of the presentations, resources and useful checklists will be stored so that you can dip in and out of them as required. You may find that you missed your induction day and you will also find the resources and information to catch up on here too.
Your induction is split into three phases:
Phase 1: Induction Day
This is the day that you come into meet your course teams and your fellow peers. This will be your opportunity to find out more about UCC and the support we provide; get acquainted with your course and modules; find out about how you will work together; get set up on our essential systems and familiarised with these; and finally learn about any work based learning that might be associated with your course (if applicable).
Phase 2: Group and Independent Learning Activities
Over a period of three weeks, you will be undertaking a number of planned group activities such as visiting the library as well as studying some of our essential Academic Skills eLearning courses. Some activities will be essential to your success as a student as UCC, whilst others are optional and will depend on your personal learning requirements.
Phase 3: Group and Independent Learning Activities
There are some activities which you need to achieve by the end of Semester One. This will include further workshops with the library, other eLearning activities and learning how to submit your assignments. This site will be split into the three phases where the information, resources and checklists will be available for you to use; these sections will be applicable to ALL students. You will also find individual course level sections where course specific information and resources will be stored.
