Dealing with Autism

It is estimated that around 1 in 100 children under 18, in the UK, has an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). There has been an increase in the number of children receiving autism spectrum disorder diagnoses in countries like the UK, but this does not mean that autism is on the increase.  It is quite likely that these changes reflect increased public awareness of autism and developments in how it is diagnosed.
