Module Description

This module aims to develop research skills to enable students to evaluate the feasibility of a business idea. Students will obtain primary and secondary data for defined research objectives, using a variety of research methods. They will learn to effectively analyse quantitative and qualitative data and present research findings in writing, with appropriate use of figures and tables, and will present information verbally to a panel.  Organisational skills and study skills developed in year one will be used to effectively present findings verbally and in writing.

On completion of this module, students will be able to:
5. Understand different types of research
6. Identify, collate and synthesise information from a variety of sources
7. Interpret data presented in a mathematical or graphical format
8. Identify appropriate techniques for effective presentation and use appropriate software packages
