Critical Thinking
This eLearning course and accompanying resources is designed to support you in developing your critical thinking skills. This can help develop our new students understanding of the principles of description, analysis, evaluation; however, it is particularly aimed at existing students moving into Level 5 study and above.
Key topics covered include:
- Reflecting on assignment feedback
- Defining critical thinking
- Bloom's taxonomy
- Building an argument
- Applying critical thinking in assignments
Examples of text extracts are provided to give you an overall understanding of what building an argument could look like.
You are encouraged to study this course in conjunction with the Critical Reading course and the Academic Writing: Planning, Structuring and Proofreading course.
