Financial Control

Module Description

The objective for this module is for students to contribute to aspects of budgetary control and financial planning within an organisation. It also requires the students to have a wider overview of financial planning, an understanding of how elements of financial planning are managed within an organisation and how this fits into the overall control of finances. They will use spreadsheet techniques to help with the preparation of financial information.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module students will be able to

1. Understand the nature and purpose of budgeting in an organisation

2. Demonstrate knowledge of budgetary control in an administrative context

3. Demonstrate knowledge of IT skills in preparing and producing documentation relating to financial processes.

4. Demonstrate an understanding and ability to collect data from a variety of sources to prepare financial documentation
