Module Description

This module supports students in the preparation and submission of work-based learning, which will take place through a work placement which has been agreed with the tutor.  Students will be responsible for the setting of their own learning objectives, though these must be agreed by module tutor and, normally, by the employer/work-based supervisor. They must be relevant to an administrative role.  At level I, these objectives build upon and extend the development that took place at level C. Students are expected to engage in reflective learning, utilising analysis and evaluation skills, and this will be aided by the use of a learning file, through the writing of critical incident reports and through participation in learning action sets.  For example, where students might reflect on their competencies in group working, their written reflections will, at this level, require significant use of concepts, models and theories of group-working to add analytical depth to their reflections.
