Loss and Bereavement

The module is designed to introduce the various models of grief and bereavement, considering Worden and Kubler-Ross amongst others the importance of the hospice movement, and personal responses to loss. The module will look at the complexities and dilemmas of working with grief and the sensitivities required when working with complex cases. Students own responses to loss and the responses to loss in various cultures will need to be considered throughout.
