Module Description

The objective for this module is for students to contribute to aspects of budgetary control and financial planning within an organisation. It also requires the students to have a wider overview of financial planning by undertaking an analysis of an organisation’s financial situation. They will learn techniques for the evaluation of financial performance.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module students will be able to

  1. Understand the nature and purpose of budgeting and budgetary control
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of IT skills in preparing and producing documentation relating to financial processes.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of the cash management in an administrative environment.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding and ability to collect data from a variety of sources
  5. Analyse the financial performance of a business
